I joined with my colleagues to unanimously approve Deputy Chief Jaime Moore as the new permanent Chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

Chief Moore joined the Los Angeles Fire Department in 1995 and has been assigned to all four Geographic Bureaus of the City. As head of LAFD’s Valley Bureau, he worked tirelessly to prevent damage caused by wildfires to the San Fernando Valley.

Through his background and proven leadership, Chief Moore’s appointment has earned the support of our City’s Firefighters. As Chair of our City’s Public Safety Committee, I look forward to working with him to increase the safety of neighborhoods across CD12 and all of Los Angeles.
