Honoring Bravery in Northridge

It was an honor to recognize a true act of bravery in Northridge, where local resident Fermin Hernandez stepped in without hesitation to save two people from a fiery crash earlier this year. In a matter of moments, he risked his own safety, breaking into the vehicle and pulling both victims to safety just before it became fully engulfed in flames.

Stories like this are a powerful reminder of the compassion and courage that exist in our community, and it was a privilege to stand alongside our partners in public safety to recognize someone who showed what it means to step up when it matters most.
