On Tuesday, Council District 12 residents spoke and spoke loudly. I am honored and humbled to be re-elected as Councilmember of the 12th District. As a resident of Council District 12 for over 40 years, it means everything to my family and I to have the support of the community that raised me. Overwhelmingly, voters in Council District 12 made it clear that you want a representative who is keenly focused on increasing public safety, tackling the homelessness crisis, supporting local businesses, and improving the community’s overall quality of life. You also made it clear that you want a representative who listens, understands the issues that matter to you, and most importantly, has put in the work alongside you to make this community what it is. I always say that Council District 12 would not be the special place it is without the many organizations and people who invest their talents, energy, and time into making our neighborhoods better for all. I see so many examples of this amazing community at work every single day, and I am so proud to represent you. Putting the needs of our district first has been and always will be my guiding principle. I am humbled and grateful for the trust you have once again placed in me. I will continue to serve you faithfully as your Councilmember and work diligently each and every day for the betterment of our Council District 12 community.
